At the 2nd International Conferene on Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (ICCLE) in Kyoto, Japan, May 11-13, 2008, EUSCLE e.V. was part of the Intersociety Meeting.

In September 2004, EUSCLE was initiated as a non-profit working-group on the 1st International Conferene on Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus.
